A Summer Vacation for Me!

Yes, that's right - my summer vacation is on! Our Brownie vest is current and there will be no new patches for me to add for 3 months. That's right - 3 months. Woohoo.

No more Try-Its until September.

And the dreaded back of the vest patches - we'll see you again this Fall at our usual 1:00am ironing sessions.

One Soccer Camp

We know summer is officially here - One Summer Camp has arrived.

The first week after school is out is devoted to One Camp in Colleyville.

Despite the heat, the camp is a great experience. The camp is based in Santa Barbara, CA - but they fly in coaches from all over the US and several other countries to teach the kids.

Jenna was a bit bummed to get another red uniform in what has become our summer of red soccer, but I thought it looked snappy. The kids were head to toe lime green last year.

Matchy Matchy Time

In theory, it seemed liked a good idea to snap a quick picture of Jenna and I in matching Matilda Jane skirts after work/Clayton using the timer. In practice, the other photos were great of Jenna and a little too frightening of me to share. Sort of like an ad for the movie Super Size Me. : )

Go Firebirds!

Jenna had her first indoor soccer game of the season today. She played a long, hard 40 minutes as forward in her first game as a Firebird. They played half a game a player short and finished the game with the full field of 6 - but no subs the whole game.

We were so proud of her for trying out a new team this season. Hands down, this is the cutest soccer hairstyle yet - sparkles and all!

Haircut Time

She shocked stylist Melissa and I by opting for curls today. Jenna's usual haricut highlight is getting her hair straightened.

Farewell to 2nd Grade

All good things must come to an end I suppose. Jenna really loved Mrs. Chappell's 2nd grade class this year. She had a wonderful year. Good friend Kendall was her classroom buddy and math was her favorite subject.

We headed out right after this for the last bus ride of the school year.
